Villa remain perfect

Killavilla United made it five wins from five in the North Tipperary & District League Premier Division after a comfortable 4-0 win against Holycross in Glenbane last Saturday.

The Roscrea side have now scored 24 goals in their five games, conceding just five in the process. Goals from Joe Moloney, Paul Kirwan, Shane Moloney and Craig Ryan were enough to see their side go joint top of the table along side Nenagh Celtic who slipped up at home to BT Harps on Sunday.

Harps set up a mouth watering clash against table toppers Killavilla United in Roscrea next weekend as Roscrea man Martin Harty found the net on the hour mark to give Johnny Doran’s side the three points they so desperately needed.

League holders Thurles Town got back to winning ways with a 4-2 derby win over Borroway Rovers on Sunday with a hat-trick from Willie Creedon while the evergreen Martin Dermody was also on target.

Portumna Town moved clear of the relegation zone thanks to a 3-1 away win over Clodiagh Rangers in Drombane on Friday night.
