A powerful and efficient display from Highfield subjected Nenagh Ormond to a thumping home loss in very difficult conditions at New Ormond Park last Saturday.

The Cork city side are currently flying high at the top of the Division 2A table and they taught Nenagh are harsh lesson in this contest, running in five tries in a game they dominated for the entire 80 minutes.

Nenagh played against a gale in the first half and they looked to limit the damage as much as possible in the opening period and they did that for the first 30 odd minutes, only trailing 10-0 and defending very well.

However, a second try before the break for man of the match Miah Cronin left Nenagh with an uphill task from which they couldn’t recover from as Highfield clicked into gear in the second half, even against the wind.
