Mark Gleeson

Gleeson goes for All Ireland Snooker glory

The game between Cork and Tipperary in the Munster hurling championship this Sunday is not the only game that will be contested by Cork and Tipperary on the day.

Mark Gleeson, from Kiladangan, an up and coming talented snooker player is taking on the current European Under 18 champion Aaron Hill from the Crucible club in Cork in the All Ireland Under 21 Snooker final, to be held in the Ivy Rooms, Carlow.

This is not the first time Mark represents his county and country respectively, he has done this on many occasions to date including the European Championships earlier this year.

On Sunday he hopes to take home the biggest prize of all at this level which everyone can appreciate is now at the top level. This is a huge achievement for Mark, his family, wide circle of friends, neighbours, supporters and last but not least his sponsors.

The Gleeson family acknowledge a lot of Tipperary people could be travelling to Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Sunday or watching the game on TV but we would be very grateful if Mark could get the support to watch him live in Carlow or on www.ribsa.ie live streaming table 5 from 2.30pm on Sunday.

Go n-eiri and t-adh mor leat.
