Gold level performances by Nenagh Gymnasts

Midlands Artistic Gymnasts enjoyed great success over the two days of the National All Around Artistic Competition in the National Indoor Arena, Dublin recently.

There were many great performances over the weekend with the club having 19 girls competing in Levels 1, 4 & 5.

Eleven girls participated in the Level 1 team competition. The clubs Under 8 team of Annabel Galvin, Ella Finnucane, Olivia Lane and Julie Ryan put in fantastic performances to win the team Gold medal.

The Under 9 team of Muireann Sheehan, Roan Carney, Amber Cahill, Ellen O'Meara and Kate Hackett also beat off all competition to capture a second team Gold.

The Under 10 Level 1 team of Gabriela Wesolowska and Lauren Ryan achieved great scores but lacked team numbers to compete for team medals.

The clubs Level 4 and 5 girls participated in the individual All-Around competitions. The girls had to complete routines on Beam, A-Bars, Floor and Vault with the four apparatus scores combined to give an all round total.

The club had their first Level 5 All-Round National medal when Faye McKeogh won silver in the Under 10 competition.

Sinead Johnson and Kate Finnucane both had top 10 finishes in their respective Level 5 competition with some exceptional individual apparatus scores.

Level 4 girls Amice Fanning, Diana Chuhai, Laura Harold, Holly Tobin and Chloe Barry all put in strong performances and showed great improvement after several months of hard training. Great work girls.

It was a very promising days ahead for all participants at Midlands Gymnasts who are located at Unit 4, Castlebrand, Tyone, Nenagh.
