O’Dwyer double the highlight at Limerick

The Saturday fixture a Limerick Greyhound Stadium fell victim of the freezing weather conditions but owner and trainer Peader O’Dwyer will be grateful that the Thursday meeting suffered no such fate as he registered an impressive double with Some Dinger and Daisy Chain.

It was Some Dinger (Paradise Madison/Drumcrow Natasha) who was first into action for his A4 525 yard contest and having gone close in the same grade last time, the recent A3 winner took full advantage of a pleasing draw in Trap 1 when breaking on terms to contest the lead on the run to the first bend.

Holding strong when suffering a bump from a rival to his outside upon turning, the O’Dwyer charge gamely forced his way to the front at the top of the back-straight and he would extend to a two length lead when passing the halfway mark. Remaining in command to the closing turns, he would extend further clear on the run to the line when registering a fourth career success while posting 29.41 with four lengths to spare.

That winning time will keep him in A4 grade for his next outing and in fine form at present, he can hold obvious claims once again.
