The Instructors of Nenagh Kickboxing Club were in for a surprise when over 50 members of the club got together recently to present them with certificates and trophies in recognition for their hard work and commitment to each and every member helping them achieve their full potential.
The philosophy of the club is represented with words carefully chosen by the members: Respect, Gratitude, Self Defense, Discipline, Coordination, Mental Health, Friendship, Flexibility, Stress Relief and Fitness.

The club has an equal number of female and male members covering a wide age span from five to fifty years of age. It is a family friendly club with lots of fun and engagement.

The Club was established in 1993 and Aidan Whelan (2nd Dan Black Belt) began managing it in 2007. Michelle and Padraig Henessey (both Black Belts) joined Aidan and collectively they’ve grown from strength securing a premises in 2017.
All three of the instructors bring their unique strengths and together they support and encourage each member develop their own fitness and skills needed in Bo-Ju -Kai martial arts.

The one thing all the instructors have all said was that by applying the discipline required for kickboxing it has enabled them to overcome personal adversities and developed confidence in other areas of their life. The values of respect, self development and skills sharing are the core beliefs held by the instructors and this is evident throughout the club.

Nenagh Kickboxing Club is based at Unit A1 Stafford Enterprise Centre, Stafford Street, Nenagh (across from the mart).
