Masters Time Trial Gold for Foote

The National Masters Time Trial Championships took place on Saturday in Shannon, Co. Clare, so not too far a journey for our three members John Foote, Eoin Woods and Michael Crowe to travel.

John Foote took the title of National M60 champion in a time of 35' 39.93" over a 23.60km course. John has always been noted for his Time-Trialing abilities over the years winning various medals in both county and provincial races. This was his time to shine and achieving his ultimate goal. He is the only member of the club, as far as we are aware, who has ever held this prestigious accolade.

Well done also to Eoin Woods who raced in the National M40 TT category and Michael Crowe who raced in the National M50 TT category. They both set some brilliant times out on the course a midst the best riders in the country. Eoin was very unfortunate to just barely miss out on a medal place, finishing in fourth place. Michael Crowe finished in eighth place.
