An eleven point haul from Eamon Whyte helped Toomevara become winners of the first North Tipperary Minor Hurling Division 1 League when they defeated Roscrea in the final last Thursday.

Whyte’s accuracy from placed balls was one of the few shining lights in a contest, while well contested, but never really sparkled to any great degree.

Toome led from start to finish and looked comfortable enough in the opening minutes as Eamon Whyte scored three opening frees and Kenny Ryan added a fourth from play with Roscrea still scoreless after six minutes.
