McCarthy inspires Toome past Moycarkey

Toomevara 2-19

Moycarkey/Borris 1-17

A man of the match performance by Mark McCarthy helped Toomevara on their way to a five point win over Moycarkey/Borris last Sunday afternoon.

McCarthy may have had a quiet first half but once he found his way he helped himself to eleven points with four coming from play.

Toome began slowly as Moycarkey went into an early two point lead after Jack Fallon from play and Anthony McKelvey from a free found the target. A quick response from Joey McLoughney and a Mark McCarthy free had Toome level by the fourth minute.

While Mark McCarthy led the way at one end, Moycarkey could depend on Kieran Morris (who weet one better with 0-12) and the full forward began his day with two pointed frees before Joey McLoughney and Mark McCarthy with a free had Toome level again.
