Tipperary Minor Football panel confirmed

The Tipperary minor football panel for the upcoming championship campaign has been confirmed by manager Matt O'Doherty.

A panel of 33 has been selected for the campaign that begins on Wednesday 10th April at home to Waterford before travelling to Clare in round 2 on 17th April with Limerick coming to a Tipperary venue on 24th April with the top two teams progressing to a final with the winners joining Kerry and Cork in a new phase 2 competition in May.

O'Doherty (Arravale Rovers) is joined once again on the management team by Johnny Nevin (JK Brackens), Viv Downey (Upperchurch/Drombane) and James Boland (Inane Rovers), with former senior manager Peter Creedon coming on board as coach, replacing Benny Hickey.

There are just five survivors from last years panel, including defender Christy McDonagh and forward Kyle Shelly who featured in all four games in the 2018 campaign with Cian O'Mahony, Jamie Holloway and Paddy Creedon also in their second year in the under 17 age grade competition.
