Efficient Tipp on cusp of semi-final

Wexford 1-4

Tipperary 0-12

Tipperary made a winning visit to north Wexford on Saturday when they accrued an efficient five point victory over the hosts in group 2 of the All-Ireland Minor 'A' Camogie Championship.

The win sees Tipperary cement their place at the top of the table but they still aren't secure in reaching a semi-final as the other game in the group between Galway and Cork was postponed, with the tribeswomen still having to play a game yet because of two postponements while Tipperary have three games played.

The game had actually been fixed for Coolgreany, about a ten minutes drive but when the inclement weather made that pitch unplayable, after a quick logistical operation, teams, officials and spectators went in convoy to the new venue with the game throwing-in only 45 minutes behind schedule.

And Tipperary initially struggled to settle into a regular rhythm after the less-than-ideal preparation with the home side producing their best hurling in the opening half.
