Quick start earns Tipp's second win

Tipperary 3-14

Dublin 2-9

Report by Rose Mannion at The Ragg

The Tipperary Minor camogie team recorded their second win of the championship to put themselves on the cusp of reaching a semi-final when they had eight points to spare over a fancied Dublin side in this round 2 clash on Saturday.

Two goals inside the first three minutes, Eimear McGrath in the first minute followed by Rosanne O’Donnell two minutes later, was the perfect start for the home side who top the group with two wins out of two with a trip to Wexford facing them next Saturday where a win would confirm a last four berth.
Tipp continued to drive over points, Clodagh McIntyre, Eimear McGrath (free) and Eimear Burke to give them a 2-3 to no score lead after fourteen minutes, Dublin found themselves chasing the game from there.

Tipp, who hit the ground running, punished the visitors at every opportunity and wouldn’t allow their opponents to settle with constant tackling and good attacking. They were unable to match the hosts all round physicality with the Premier County's half and full forwards in top form which was the launching pad for this well deserved victory.
