A 57th minute Caroline Browne goal helped St. Mary's Secondary School Nenagh book their place in the All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Senior 'B' Camogie Final, with a two-point win over Dominican College, Griffith Avenue on Saturday.

In mixed weather conditions, the Nenagh school battled hard to overcome their Munster final loss to St. Flannan's Ennis to earn a place in the decider.

It took a while for the visitors to settle into this game on the score-board, and it wasn't until the 19th minute before the girls in red and blue managed to get a score, with Sarah Madden opening their account. The Silvermines player took a fine score from play after initial good work in the build-up by Mikayla Doran, Jill-Anne Quirke and Katie Grace.

Despite not registering a score until the second quarter, and falling 0-3 to 0-0 behind after 14 and a half minutes, it wasn't for a lack of hard work by St. Mary's early on. A directional cross-field wind slightly favoured Nenagh in the opening half, and they battled bravely from the off.

Madden showed well early on, with the Dominican College defence under constant pressure in the opening eight minutes, but St. Mary's were unable to get through for a score.

A second minute goal effort was blocked by Dominican College keeper Karen O'Connell while efforts for scores from Madden and Caroline Browne went wide of the target, after some defensive pressure from their opponents.
