Nenagh and Thurles set up Dean Ryan Cup semi-final

Nenagh CBS set up a Dean Ryan Cup semi-final with Thurles CBS following a 2-15 to 1-8 quarter final win over Hamilton High School, Bandon in Ballyhea last Wednesday.

Templederry will host the all-Tipperary clash today (Wednesday at 1.30pm) in the prestigious Munster Under 16 ½ 'A' Hurling competition in which Thurles are the defending champions and record winners on thirteen occasions while Nenagh have yet to win the trophy.

The competition is also a useful guide to possible Dr Harty Cup ambitions in two years time and with the inter-county minor grade at under 17, is an ideal testing ground for possible players for next years panel.
