Kiladangan's mettle is tested to claim North title

Kiladangan 0-19

Toomevara 0-17

Kiladangan had to show the grit of true champions in claiming just a second North Tipperary Minor 'A' Hurling title with a come from behind final win over Toomevara last Friday.

The sides had drawn their group stage game in July and another tight encounter was expected but off the back of their two titanic semi-final games with Roscrea, Kiladangan carried the weight of favoritism and it appeared to impact them in the first half as they trailed by four at the break to a Toomevara side aiming to end a 20 year wait for a divisional title at minor 'A' level.

However that wait goes on as Kiladangan stormed back in the second half, inspired by another superb performance by Bryan McLoughney who contributed twelve points of his sides total, three from play, including the final one which was the final nail in a brave effort of a Toomevara side that never yielded, even when the game appeared to be running away from them at the three quarter mark.
