End of an era for Nenagh business

Anne Marie Leamey wishes to announce the closure of her business - Anne Marie's Boutique - at 66 Kenyon St, Nenagh.

One of the town's best known shops for ladies fashion and accessories, Anne Marie's Boutique was in business for 38 years. She is now retiring and looking forward to spending more time with her grandchildren.

Having made the decision to close at the end of this month, Anne Marie said she has been overwhelmed with gifts of flowers and messages of well-wishing from the local community.

"To all my lovely customers, family and friends that have been so loyal to me over the years, it has been a pleasure dealing with ye all, and you will never be forgotten," Anne Marie said this week. "We shared so many good times with ye and ye were the highlight of our days in the shop. We are going to miss you all.

"A very special Thank You to a very special friend, Trish, who has been a rock to me during my days in the shop, so loyal, honest, and a true friend to me always. Thank you so much, Trish, for all that you have done. It was a pleasure working with you all these years.

"To my husband Maurice, daughter Kathleen, son Maurice jnr, son-in-law Liam and Leanne, and all of my family who have supported me through these years - thank you all so much."

Concluding, Anne Maries said: "Thanks to everyone for your support, and keep safe during these hard times."

The shop on Kenyon St was Anne Marie's family home, a place that holds many memories for her and one that she will surely miss. It will also be missed by the people of Nenagh, and we wish Anne Marie and her family all the best for the future.
