Carroll elected chair of HSE forum

At the AGM of the HSE West Health Forum held on Tuesday last, June 25th, Tipperary councillor John Carroll was unanimously elected Chairman of the HSE West Health Forum.


Cllr Carroll was Vice Chair of the HSE West Health Forum over the past two years and is a member of the HSE West Health forum for over ten years.


The HSE West Health Region comprises of nine counties: Donegal, Mayo, Leitrim, Sligo, Roscommon, Galway, Clare, Limerick and Tipperary. The forum meets monthly at Merlin Park, Galway.


The West region incorporates the sub-regions of the Mid West, West and North West. There are over 40 elected members on the HSE West Health Forum representing various counties.


Cllr Carroll has stated his priorities would be working with the HSE west executive and with fellow councillors on the health forum in highlighting and trying to address the many key issues that are causing great distress to so many families and individuals throughout the HSE West region.
