Nominate an inspiring teacher

There are just a few days remaining for the people of Tipperary to nominate the county’s most inspiring teachers, as part of the new Teachers Inspire initiative. 

 

Established by Dublin City University, Teachers Inspire is aimed at highlighting and celebrating the enormous contribution made by teachers in Irish society. Over the past month, people across the country have been urged to share their stories of how a teacher transformed their lives and/or their community.  Some of the stories received to date focus on:

 

 

 

Stories of inspiring teachers can be submitted through the teachersinspire.ie website for one more week, with the closing date for submissions on June 30th.  After the closing date, a shortlist of the most compelling stories will be selected and profiled on the website.  

 

The initiative will then culminate in the inaugural Teachers Inspire Ireland gala dinner on September 27th, at which teachers from across the country (one from each province) will be acknowledged and celebrated.
