CBS Nenagh - 50 years on

In 1969 the CBS Primary and Secondary schools moved from the old premises at John’s Lane to the new modern schools at Summerhill.

The 50th anniversary of the move will be celebrated on May 17th next at a special ceremony to which all are invited. The festivities will begin with a march from John’s Lane through the town to the Church of St Mary of the Rosary, where Mass will be concelebrated by Bishop Fintan Monahan at 7.30pm.

Past pupils – particularly those who were part of the original move to Summerhill – are heartily invited to partake in the celebrations. There will be refreshments and reminiscences in the CBS School Hall immediately after Mass.
