Daffodil Day launched in Nenagh

Members of the Nenagh Daffodil Day Committee and Nenagh Flower & Garden Club gathered last Monday to launch Daffodil Day for Nenagh and surrounding area.

Tommy and Ann Elizabeth Riggs Miller very kindly invited the Daffodil Day Committee to  Tullaheady, the home of our good friend the late Nancy Riggs Miller, who was instrumental in organising Daffodil Day from its inception. Daffodil Day is on Friday, March 22nd! People of Nenagh and surrounding districts join thousands of people across Ireland in the fight against cancer on March 22nd by selling daffodil pins and flowers on streets, and in offices and shopping centres. Get involved on Daffodil Day and support free nationwide services for cancer patients and their families.  Contact Mary Doyle, 087 2700647, or Nuala Freeman, 083 3582155 if you have an hour to spare to collect at a table.

Why not get together with a friend and do an hour at a table! You will all be doing something amazing to help cancer patients and their families in the fight against cancer. You are all helping make a difference to everyone affected by cancer in Ireland. In 2017, over 1,300 cancer patients were driven to over 12,000 chemotherapy treatments by our volunteer drivers.

In 2017, 1,800 cancer patients received over 7,300 nights of end of life care from our night nurses. There are now 13 Daffodil Centres across the country where anyone concerned about cancer can seek advice and support from our specialist nurses.
Every donation counts!
