Labour to select South Euro candidate

The Labour Party will hold their selection convention for the European Parliament South constituency this Sunday at 2pm in the Imperial Hotel, Cork City.
 

One candidate will be nominated, and there is a contest with two names going forward for selection. These are former Labour TD for Clare, Michael Mc Namara; and the President of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, and outgoing INTO General Secretary Sheila Nunan.
 

A result of the contest is expected around 4pm.
