Andy Reiss and Tara Killilea with participants of Miss Saigon Youth Masterclass 2018

West End star welcomed back to Nenagh

Have you ever wished for the opportunity to work on songs and scenes of popular West End musicals? Well here is your chance...

Nenagh Choral Society is delighted, after the success of the last Youth Masterclass, to welcome back Mr Andy Reiss to host another Youth Musical Masterclass in Nenagh for ages 13-18. Regardless of the level of experience, the Masterclass is an invaluable learning opportunity where participants are encouraged to push their personal boundaries and explore ways to expand vocal expertise and stagecraft.

The course leader, Andy Reiss, has been Director, Musical Director and Principal Performer in some of the world's much-loved musicals. Andy brings his knowledge, personal experience and insight of directing and performing in Les Misérables in the West End, and on tour, to the Masterclass.

The chosen material for this Masterclass is Jesus Christ Superstar, which is looked at in-depth, and Andy gives participants a taste of the intensity of working towards a polished product. There will be a ‘performance showcase’ during the final session of the workshop. The Musical Masterclass is a very enjoyable, positive experience and is a must for musical theatre lovers.

The Youth Musical Masterclass will be held at the Scouts Hall, Nenagh, on February 19th and 20th. The cost of this two-day workshop is €100pp (discount available for siblings) and times will be approx 9.30am – 6pm (TBC). This opportunity is open to all youth; you do not need to be a member of NCS.
