Darts tournament supports Milford Hospice

On September 29th 'The Sean Bane Memorial' Singles Darts Competition was held in Figgerty's Bar, Summerhill, Nenagh.

A total of €4,600 was raised and donated to Milford Care Centre. We would like to thank all of the board sponsors, spot prize donors, cash donors, sponsor card sellers, raffle ticket sellers, Damien Quinlivan and his staff at Figgerty's, as well as John Fitz and all 60 players that turned up.

The tournament was a great success with some fantastic darts played, loads of 180s and some superb check-outs. The winner of the A-section was Ray Gueren from Roscrea, last year's runner-up, and Willie Lawlor from Nenagh was this year's runner-up. The ladies competition was won by Millie Naughton from Roscommon.

Dave Basset from England was the B-section winner with Jack McGloughlin from Borrisokane the runner-up. Mike Fox from Borrisokane had the highest check-out.
