'65 Roses of Cystic Fibrosis' by Grace Shesgreen, winner of the Individual category in this year's Christmas Tree Festival. There'll be more photos from the festival in the Christmas Eve edition of the Guardian.

Thank you message from the Nenagh Christmas Tree Festival

Once again the Rector Rod Smyth and the Nenagh Christmas Tree Festival committee want to thank the community for all your support in making this the best year ever for our celebration in Nenagh.

We are both privileged and humbled by the contributions of trees and exhibits, the work so many people have done and the attendance of so many over the five days of the festival, as well as the wonderful singing at the following the carol service on Sunday afternoon. A special thanks to those who kindly provided music during the event, and in particular the primary school children who sang.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to give a substantial cheque to Focus Ireland, our partners for this year. Our winners were: Best Business or Retail went to Dr O’Keeffe’s surgery for 'Candy Cane Christmas'; Best Organisation went to St Cronan’s Association (Nenagh Branch) for 'Tree of Everyday Life'; and the Individual prize went to Grace Shesgreen for '65 Roses of Cystic Fibrosis'. The prize plaques were made and donated by Stephen O’Meara.

Again, thank you to everyone involved. We couldn’t have done it without you!
