EuroMillions jackpot to soar
EuroMillions fever is gripping the country as Friday’s jackpot soars to a mega €50 million (estimated). The National Lottery advised players dreaming of winning big to buy tickets early to avoid missing out on this life-changing prize.
National Lottery Chief Executive, Dermot Griffin said: “There is a great buzz around the country with the rolling jackpot hitting €50 million. We have already had one Irish EuroMillions jackpot winner this year and fingers crossed that we may make it our second for 2018! This has been a lucky year for EuroMillions players in Ireland with 26 winners scooping the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000. We are hoping the rub of the green is with us tonight.”
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games go back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish language. In total more than €5.3 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 30 years ago. In 2017 alone, the National Lottery raised over €225 million for such good causes.
