Textile art exhibition at Nenagh Library

Nenagh Library is delighted to present a small exhibition of local textile artist Margriet Schouwenburg's work for the month of November.

Comprised mainly of figurines done in fabric sculpture, these wonderful pieces are both charming and haunting, almost otherworldly in their tall, drawn appearance.

Margriet, originally from the Netherlands and now living in Terryglass, has in the past collaborated with Nenagh Library in offering craft classes as part of a Bealtaine programme but this is her first exhibition with us and, judging by how quickly several of her pieces were snapped up, we think it will be a most successful one.
