Tusla launch promotional campaign

Tusla-Child and Family Agency has launched its first ever national promotional drive to highlight the range of services it provides as part of its Prevention, Partnership and Family Support (PPFS) programme.

Tusla National Child and Family Support Week will feature special public events across  Tipperary and will be backed up by a national and regional advertising campaign across media platforms.
There are now almost 863,000 families with children in Ireland and some 1.68 million children in families in Ireland, according to Census 2016. Tusla provides extensive support services to assist all parents, children, and young people as part of its PPFS programme. This programme aims to stop problems experienced by families from getting worse, or from developing into a crisis.

The objective of Tusla National Child and Family Support Week is to inform children, parents and families about Tusla’s high-quality PPFS programme, and to make them more aware of supports and services that are available to them.

The North Tipperary Tusla Prevention, Partnership and Family Support Department in collaboration with The Parent Support Champions invite parents to an event on ‘Building Blocks for Life: Parenting from Pregnancy to Four Years’ by Dr Una Lynch. This talk will take place in the Nenagh Arts Centre this Wednesday, September 19th, from 7 to 9pm. The topics for discussion include:

·         How building blocks for life are laid down from pregnancy to four years.

·         The importance of bonding and attachment.

·         The importance of parenting and the contributions of others in helping children achieve their full potential.

·         How the environment impacts on lifelong health and wellbeing.
