Safety fears on Nenagh road

A local councillor has raised fears for pedestrian safety at the Portroe Road Roundabout outside Nenagh.

Cllr Séamie Morris (Ind) said he is “astonished” at the lack of sightlines at the roundabout junction, which is used by large numbers of walkers, runners and cyclists on the N52 pathway. He told Tipperary Co Council that there has been a number of accidents at the location already, and asked that the location to be looked at before someone is killed.

Raising the issue at last month's meeting of Nenagh Municipal District, Cllr Morris asked for it to be added to the council's checklist.
