Glamour galore set for upcoming Nenagh fashion show extravaganza

A FASHION show showcasing the best of fashion from the Munster area has been organised to support the continued delivery of much needed specialist palliative care services by Milford Care Centre in Limerick.

Glamour and Elegance will take centre stage at The Glamorous Fashion Show in Nenagh led by fashion show coordinator Mary Garrigan on Friday, November 7, in the Abbey Court Hotel in Nenagh.

There will be a pre-show reception with Bubbles and Bites and The Midland String Quartet will be providing entertainment in the Teepee from 6.30pm and the fashion show will commence at 8pm.

This will be opportunity for you meet and greet the fashion influencers on the night and have your photograph taken with them. There will also be trade stands to view with the option for you to purchase your favourite items if desired, along with the goodie bag full of fabulous items and worth over £100 for every lady who attends on the night.

The fashion show will be showcasing the best of fashion, millinery and accessories. Local businesses participating in the fashion show include Pamela Scott, DV8 Shop, the Zip Yard, De Stafford Bridal Wear, The Next Chapter Bridal Occasion, Marion Murphy Cooney, Geraldine O’Meara, Cleo Bridal and Melissa K shoes will have their fashions on show.

We will have visiting shops such as The Stables, Birr, Roisin Leanne, Caroline Mitchell Knitwear, Faith Amond Millinary, Carlow, Love Cherish Boutique, Charleville, Julie Caulfield, Wexford, byreidin Bags, Ivory Lane Boutique Castletroy Town Centre, Limerick, Joannes Boutique, Killaloe, The Complete Look Shop, Galway.

The Fashion Show Coordinator, Mary Garrigan, is a native of Nenagh and has many years of experience working in the fashion and style industry. Mary ran her own boutique for many years in Nenagh town called Cameo Boutique, before moving on the work in Pamela Scott’s boutique in Nenagh. Mary has recently been appointed as the manageress of Lisa Baker Boutique and is the Master of Ceremonies for the fashion show on the night. Mary is highly experienced when it comes to coordinating fashion shows.

EXTRAVAGANZA

“It will be an extravaganza of fashion with fashion shops from Nenagh town, Killaloe, Birr, Limerick, Cork and Galway - all collaborating with a host of national dress designers and showing their styles on the catwalk,” said Mary

Lisa Baker Boutiques is a family-run fashion business with three locations across Ireland: Castleknock and Lucan in Dublin, and here in Nenagh. in

Founded by Maura and Adeline Harty, the boutique offers a curated selection of both Irish and international women's fashion brands, including Joseph Ribkoff, Naya and Oui clothing.

Adeline stated: “I am thrilled that Lisa Baker is taking part in the Grand Glamorous fashion show again this year. Mary, alongside her brilliant team have put their heart and soul into organising an absolute extravaganza of a night. This year all funds are going to Milford hospice which is an island of solace in dark times for people. HIGH PROFILE STYLISTS

We will be joined on the night by some high-profile fashion stylists and influencers including Marietta Doran who will co- host the show with Mary Garrigan.  We would like to welcome Faith Amond, Kate O’ Connell, Michael Fitzpatrick and Jackslifestyle to Nenagh. Kathlyn Cummins, the Laois Rose who won this year’s Rose of Tralee, is also joining us on night.

Mary Garrigan stated:  “This event goes beyond fashion - it is about uplifting women, fostering connection, and making a critical difference locally. We are honoured to support the Milford Hospice Care Centre, who offer vital care to those affected by cancer.”

GOODIE BAGS WORTH €100

The event includes trade stands, live entertainment, raffle prizes, and many spot prizes have very generously been donated by numerous local businesses.

And to make our night even more exciting there will be a number of brilliant prizes for the best dressed ladies, along with the best shoes and handbags judged by our fashion influencer Faith Amond, Kate O’ Connell, Michael Fizt and Jackslifestyle There will also be a raffle with some amazing prizes including vouchers and hampers to be won along with the goodie bag worth over €100.  Our local photographer, Brian Redmond, is also giving a free ticket to every lady with a chance to win a fabulous prize on the night.

Mary Garrigan feels that the way many women feel about their appearance has a significant impact on their self-confidence. The clothes will be modelled by all our local girls from Nenagh and the surrounding hinterland. Hair styles for the models on the night will be kindly done by The Green Rooms Hair Design and make-up is by Cheryl Bentley Beautician. Entertainment on the night will be provided by The Midland String Quartet and The Buachailli Band, The Musical Theatre Academy, Nenagh, and Grace Shagreen.

Our beneficiaries from this year’s Glamorous Fashion Show are Milford Hospice and Care Centre in Limerick.

Milford Hospice provides a wonderful service to so many individuals and their families in our community. The proceeds raised on the night will go to support and care for people who are going through their cancer journeys and Milford Hospice is dedicated to providing support and care to those people affected by this devastating disease.

Milford Care Centre is a provider of specialist palliative care to the people of the Mid-West. Palliative Care is a practice directed towards improving the quality of life for people living with advanced life-threatening illness. Milford Hospice cares for patients, in a variety of settings including the in-patient unit at Milford Home Care and Day Care whilst also offering a range of support

Kieran Dore, Head of Finance at Milford Care Centre, expressed his appreciation to Mary Garrigan and the organising committee for their support, acknowledging the hard work that has gone into raising funds from this year’s fashion show: “At Milford Care Centre, we are committed to delivering exceptional, person-centred care to those who need it most. The ongoing support from local communities enables us to continuously improve our specialised facilities and services, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients and their families.  As people live longer with more complex healthcare needs, we must continue to evolve.  This means expanding our specialised services and making care more accessible - particularly within local communities.”  Kieran Dore added that the funds raised from the Glamorous Fashion Show will directly support the ongoing development of Milford’s Specialist Palliative Care and community services, helping to ensure that high-quality care remains available to all throughout the Mid-West region.
