Supporting rural entrepreneurship
Do you have an innovative farm diversification business idea? The AgriNext Incubator is now accepting applications!
The incubator hub (Farm Diversification Support Centre) is a core component of the EU-funded AgriNext Project, which promotes multifunctional agriculture (farm diversification) activities across Ireland, Spain, Croatia, and Slovenia.
It is designed to empower participants to create sustainable agribusinesses that boost farm income and contribute to biodiversity, community well-being, and environmental stewardship.
The initiative aims to support the next generation of rural entrepreneurs by providing practical training, mentoring, and access to innovation networks that promote diversified, biobased, resilient, and digitally-enabled farming systems.
Launching in July 2025, the AgriNext Farm Diversification Support Centre will offer:
· A structured training programme for farm diversification enterprises
· One-on-one mentorship from experts and educators
· Peer-to-peer learning and networking with stakeholders
· Opportunities to develop viable, sustainable agribusiness plans
· Support for creating partnerships between education, business, and farming communities
Eligible participants include farmers seeking new enterprise models, students in agricultural and environmental programmes, educators, rural development professionals, and aspiring agripreneurs.
The programme is open to individuals with innovative ideas for diversified farm-based ventures such as agritourism, renewable energy, farm education, farm shop, food processing, and nature conservation services.
