International Basketball Caps for Nenagh duo

Fifth Year students at St Joseph's CBS Nenagh, Seán McNamara and Fionn O'Meara received their Men's International Basketball caps at a prestigious ceremony in the National Basketball Arena on Saturday.

This is in recognition of their selection on the Irish Basketball panel for the 2021-2022 season.

Seán McNamara who plays his basketball with Limerick Celtics was selected on the Ireland U17 panel by Head Coach Gareth O'Reilly as a forward.

Fionn O'Meara who last season played his basketball with Nenagh Warriors was selected on the Ireland U16 panel by Head Coach Pat Price as a forward also.

Both boys represented Ireland in a basketball series in Scotland over the summer, in their respective age groups.

This is an amazing achievement for both Seán and Fionn. They will be both training hard to make the Irish Basketball panel for the 2022-2023 season.
