Still celebrating the national success of winning TG4's Glór Tíre song contest, rising Country music star Aishling Rafferty is set for one of her biggest performances yet at University Concert Hall Limerick.

The young Knockshegowna chanteuse will share the UCH stage with Mike Denver, Philomena Begley and Brendan Shine on May 27. It will be a big night for Aishling, and also Portumna native Mike Denver; the 2016 ‘Entertainer of the Year’ is celebrating 20 years of growing a vast support throughout Ireland and the UK, where he has been selling out concerts in England and Scotland in recent months.

Aishling (20) was mentored by Mike on her way to winning Glór Tíre in February. Her prize included €5,000 towards recording her first album. Aishling will also be travelling to Portugal next month to perform on stage with Mike.

Before that, the former Borrisokane Community College student, now studying Voice at the World Academy of Music and Dance at UL, will have a big gig with some of the biggest stars of the Country scene at the University Concert Hall.

Mike Denver is still promoting his ACMA album of the year ‘Cut Loose’ and, with his excellent backing, presenting a two-and-a-half-hour high-energy show, which features all his hits, including ‘Tommy K’,’Wasn’t that a Party’, ‘Galway Girl’, ‘Blown Away’, plus hits from the '60s and '70s.

The show was to have taken place on February 12 last but has been rescheduled to Friday, May 27. Existing tickets remain fully valid for this new date. See www.uch.ie for bookings are further information.
