Duharra upset at home by Cashel

County Senior Camogie Championship Group 2

Burgess/Duharra 1-6

Cashel 2-12

Burgess/Duharra suffered a rare home championship defeat as an impressive Cashel side left Kilcoleman on Saturday with a nine-point victory.

The North side had a three point win over Cashel when these sides met in the group stages last year but last Saturday it was clear from the outset that Cashel meant business as they brought a huge intensity right from the throw-in.

Cashel were delighted to have the talented Sorcha Ryan who missed out last year through injury back at full back and she was immense throughout the sixty minutes.

Elsewhere, Tipperary senior Karin Blair continued her good vein of form with some excellent points scored in both halves.

For Burgess/Duharra Caoimhe Maher worked hard at centre back while Ciara McKeogh was awarded for her good display with a second half goal.
