Bus transfers will replace scheduled services on this line.

Nenagh rail line remains closed

Iarnród Éireann has advised customers that its full weekday timetable resumed across the network on Tuesday of this week.

However, this is with the exception of Ballybrophy to Limerick via Nenagh services, where line works are continuing. Iarnród Éireann advises that bus transfers will replace scheduled services on this line, with minor time alterations. It is expected that train services on the Ballybrophy line will resume around mid July.

A revised and reduced schedule has been in on the national network operation since January 11th, with some additional services operating since schools resumed attendance. But in order to be able to accommodate an increased number of customers with Covid-19 capacity restrictions in place, the full schedule with the exception of the Ballybrophy line is now in operation.

Customers are reminded that under Level 5 arrangements:

Only essential travel is permitted;

Face coverings are mandatory on rail services and in stations, unless a customer is medically exempt;

25% of on board capacity is available for use;

Intercity travel must be booked in advance of travel;

Alcohol is not permitted on any rail services, and catering services are suspended on board;
