Limerick city welcomes back the ultimate rugby carnival

Limerick City and Thomond Park Stadium will open its arms and welcome back the second year of the Limerick World Club Se7ens Series.

Twelve rugby teams from across the world will once again take part in the two day event which will run from Friday August 21st to Saturday August 22nd.  The event will deliver some of the world’s best and brightest sevens teams and a weekend of not only awesome rugby but a carnival like party to bring Limerick city alive.
This year’s Limerick World Club Se7ens is even more special with the inclusion of not one but all four of the Irish provinces. For the first time in Irish rugby history, Munster , Leinster, Connacht and Ulster will wear their provincial jerseys as they do battle against some of the world’s strongest sevens rugby teams.
Represented at the tournament will be teams from both Northern and Southern hemispheres. Teams will include reigning champions Daveta Fiji who will return to defend their Limerick World Club Se7ens title along with 2014 Twickenham 7’s champions Buenos Aires along with one of South Africa‘s leading provincial 7’s teams

Modelled on international rugby sevens events - notably The Hong Kong 7's - Limerick is ready once again to be the host city for this world club event, which will draw thousands of rugby  and party fans into Thomond Park over the weekend of August 21st -22nd.

The city of Limerick and Thomond Park Stadium will be a hive of activity for the two days of the Limerick World Club Se7ens with attractions for families, party lovers , rugby fans or for those who are just looking for a great way to finish off the summer holiday period.
