Nenagh Girl Boxers doing it for themselves

Nenagh could have the next Katie Taylor among them following the boxing successes of two up and coming juvenile fighters.

13-year-old Cori Gleeson and 15-year-old Aoife Bohan brought home All Ireland titles from the recent national juvenile championships held at the National Boxing Stadium in Dublin.

Cori Gleeson defeated Birr Boxing Club's Alex Kinahan in the Under 14 55kg category final, while Aoife Bohan was successful in the Under 15 85kg category, defeating Chelsea McNamee from Olympic Mullingar Boxing Club in the decider.

The two girls train out of St Paul's Boxing Club, which is located on Glebe Lane, just off Kenyon Street car park in Nenagh.
