Explosive Rotational Power Talk Comes To Thurles

Setanta College are delighted to welcome Californian Jason Glass to Tipperary for a one-of-a-kind Strength & Conditioning workshop on how to develop Rotational Power. Coach Glass, alongside Dr. Liam Hennessy, will bring their professional experience and unique sporting insights to the state-of-the-art SportsLab in Thurles on July 30th.

The workshop will look at fascinating coaching methods & techniques that can be applied to develop greater power and improve performance in all sports with a specific focus on golf and those involved in playing or coaching in the GAA. A mix of theory and practical elements will make this is the only event of its kind in Ireland this year. Expert views and functional exercises will be brought together in order to develop the individual's own game or those involved in coaching.

Dr. Liam Hennessy, Academic Director, Setanta College spoke on the event, ''We are extremely excited to welcome Jason to Thurles and show off our great facilities, prime example being the SportsLab. Rotational movement affects everyone, from swinging a hurl or a golf club to getting out of your car, what you will learn at the workshop can be applied to a wide range of cases. We have a great day of activities planned that are suitable for everyone and is sure to greatly benefit sports performance. You can find all details on our website''.

Jason Glass, Head of the Titleist Performance Institutes Fitness Advisory Board also commented, ‘'Learning the correct warm ups is extremely important, particularly when playing a sport or training an athlete. When looking at your national sport of hurling I saw two key elements; power and speed. These are a big factor in rotational movement and I'm excited to bring this concept to Ireland and show people how beneficial it can be to reduce risk of injury and enhance performance''.

Attendees on the day can expect a lively event suitable for all ages where the areas of The Ultimate Warm Up, Rotational Power and Slings, Next Level Training techniques, Slingshot of Power and ‘Dream Big & Over Deliver' along with much more will be covered.
