Noel McGrath in action against Offaly in the 2015 quarter final

Ryan not taking anything for granted against Offaly

TIPPERARY v OFFALY

O’Connor Park, Tullamore

Sunday 2nd April

Throw-in @ 4.00pm (E.T.)

Referee: Colm Lyons (Cork)

Tipperary head to Tullamore for the second time in three years having lost the toss for venue for this Sunday’s Allianz Hurling League quarter final against Offaly.

Despite having lost their first four games in division 1B, Offaly defeated Kerry by two points in Tralee last Sunday to progress to the knockout stages on score difference, which is a massive -39.

However, speaking after the defeat to Cork last Sunday, Tipp manager Michael Ryan isn’t entertaining any complacency.

“It certainly won’t be entering our minds in terms of favourites or not favourites,” he said.

“What will concern us is getting the right bodies on the pitch and getting the result and getting through. That’s what’s at stake for both sides and it’s 15 on 15.”
