Nenagh find that bit

extra to reach semi-final

Nenagh CBS 0-20

De La Salle College, Waterford 2-13 (AET)

Nenagh CBS showed terrific resolve to battle their way through to a first Harty Cup semi-final appearance since 2012 following a gritty quarter final win over De La Salle College Waterford last Wednesday.

In a match of see-sawing fortunes, largely dictated by the strong wind which blew straight down the field, Nenagh looked to have blown it in normal time when a lead as big as eight points was eroded away and they fell behind going into the dying minutes before super sub Kevin McCarthy pointed in added time to send the game into extra time.

With players on both sides then beginning to suffer in the energy sapping conditions with cramp becoming a major issue, Nenagh managed to outscore their rivals three points to two in extra time to see them through to the semi-final and a mouthwatering clash with Our Lady's Templemore.
