Alcohol-related arrests in Nenagh and Roscrea

Gardaí have made several arrests in recent days over alcohol-related incidents.


There were numerous arrests under the Public Order Act, including one at Church Road, Nenagh, where a male was reportedly drunk at 10 o'clock last Tuesday morning. A male youth was arrested in Roscrea on the same day for being intoxicated following an altercation.


Two males were arrested for public disorder at Silver St, Nenagh, following a row at 2.30am last Sunday. Another male was reportedly arrested for his own safety after being found in an intoxicated state at Pearse St at 6.30 the same morning.


A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after gardaí set up a checkpoint at Gaol Road, Roscrea, at 9.30pm last Sunday.
Meanwhile, gardaí say they are aware of reports of antisocial behaviour taking place over recent days at Dromineer. No formal complaints have been made as yet, but gardaí say they are monitoring the situation and anyone with an issue should contact Nenagh Garda Station.
