Witnesses sought after property damaged

Gardaí are seeking witness information in what has been described as a “serious incident” at Ballinree, Nenagh, last weekend.


Damage was caused to property and vehicle parked outside a house around midnight on Saturday. It is understood that implements were used to cause the damage.


Gardaí are also investigating an act of vandalism at Sarsfield St, Nenagh, last Friday night. Damage was caused to a vehicle on the street at 11.30pm.

 

Drugs seizures in Nenagh district


Gardaí have made several seizures of illegal drugs in the Nenagh district over recent days.
Among them was the seizure of suspected cocaine and cannabis valued at €200 at Finnoe Road, Borrisokane, on Wednesday of last week. Another cannabis seizure worth €120 was made in Borrisokane last Friday.
Gardaí found more cannabis in a search at Gortlandroe, Nenagh, last Monday. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.  
At Nenagh Courthouse last Friday, an individual reportedly appeared to attempt to pass a package to another man. The package contained cannabis. A file is also being prepared for the DPP in this matter.

 

Vehicles seized on motorway


A number of vehicles were seized by gardaí on the M7 motorway outside Nenagh last Monday.
A garda checkpoint was set up on the motorway at Tullaheady. A male was also arrested on suspicion of drink driving at the checkpoint at 10am.

Gardaí investigate break-ins


Nenagh gardaí are investigating two break-ins that occurred in recent days.
A vacant petrol station at Inane, Roscrea, was broken into last Wednesday. A till was taken and later recovered a few miles from the scene.
Another break-in was reported at a property on Nenagh's Limerick Road some time between Saturday and Sunday night last. A number of items were stolen.
