Supporting A Little Lifetime - Ballycommon 5k organisers give thanks

The presentation was recently made of a cheque for €5,050 to A Little Lifetime Foundation following a fun run organised in Ballycommon last month.

A total of 349 people took part in the 5k fun run/walk, which was held in memory of three local sisters – Angel, Jessie and Nikki, who died as babies in 2003. This was the third year that parents Trish and Fergal O'Shea organised the run in memory of the triplets.

“Last year we raised €3,500 for A Little Lifetime,” said Trish. “This year we cracked 5k for a fun 5k. Huge thanks to all our friends, family and neighbours for all they did. There was huge community spirit.

“The triplets were looking down on us - the weather was just fantastic, and we all had tea and buns back in local hall... all 349 of us!”

Formerly called ISANDS (Irish Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society), A Little Lifetime Foundation provides information, services and support to help parents and families cope with the death of babies.
