Sunday launch for Silvermines GAA dancing fundraiser

This Sunday Silvermines GAA club will launch this Sunday, one of the biggest ever fundraisers organised by the club as part of plans to further enhance the excellent facilities at Dolla GAA Grounds.

The launch of ‘Strictly Dancing’ a unique local production of the smash hit TV show 'Strictly Come Dancing’,  will take place in Buddy’s Bar and Lounge, Capparoe on this coming Sunday night (8.30 pm),   when all the budding Fred Astaires and Ginger Rogers from the parish and surrounding areas are revealed for the first time.

Over the coming weeks training will begin in earnest for the gala event which is scheduled to take place in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh on Saturday January 20th, 2018.

Months of rigorous training, planning and organising will culminate on the evening, with an entertaining group performance, followed by each couple performing a unique repertoire and a climatic finale performance by the entire group.

The 'throw in’ for this extravaganza will be the launch this weekend when the dancers will be revealed.  Such is the mix of personalities of the dancers the audience is in for a treat to see these volunteers strut their stuff on stage, as they may not have been picked for their dancing skills!

There are also ample opportunities for local businesses in North Tipperary to sponsor the dancers  for the event or place advertisements in the event programme, so please contact the club committee if you are interested in generating some inexpensive exposure for your business on the evening.
