Nenagh activities on centenary of final Fatima Apparition

Several activities are taking place in Nenagh Parish to coincide with the centenary of the final Apparition in Fatima.

Adoration in St Mary of the Rosary will take place Monday to Friday from 5 to 7pm. A rosary for the Protection of Life is prayed at 6pm each Friday.

A Rosary is prayed in St Mary of the Rosary each morning, Monday to Saturday at 9.30 (before Holy Mass). This Rosary was started close on 70 years ago by the late Mrs Brigid Mackey and the late Mrs Bridie Ryan.

On Sundays, as part of their prayer meeting, a Rosary is prayed by the Divine Mercy prayer group, which meets at 3pm in St Mary of the Rosary.

The Medjugorje Prayer Group meets at 4pm on the first Monday of each month in the Day Care Centre (except on bank holidays when the group meets the following Tuesday). A Rosary is prayed by this group as part of their programme.

The Nenagh Holy Spirit Charismatic Renewal Service, an ecumenical gathering, meets in the Pastoral Centre, Church Road, on Tuesdays at 8pm. Before that meeting a Rosary is prayed at 7.40pm by a ‘sub-group’, after which they attend the main meeting.

Since May, in this centenary year of the Fatima Apparitions, a Rosary for Ireland was prayed on the 13th of each month at 4pm in Banba Square. The October Rosary will be prayed there at 4pm this Friday, October 13th, which marks the centenary of the last Apparition.

All are welcome to join in prayer in any of these Groups.
