New Irish Cancer Society volunteer drivers recruited in Tipperary

Pictured is the newest batch of volunteer drivers with the Irish Cancer Society, who will starting with the Society's ‘Volunteer Driver Service' on August 31st.
An increase of 17% in patients needing the service in Clare, Limerick and Tipperary prompted a targetted recruitment campaign in these areas.
This free transport service is available to patients attending University Hospital Limerick, St. Luke's General Hospital, Kilkenny, University Hospital, Waterford, Cork University Hospital & the Mercy University Hospital, Cork for chemotherapy treatments.
If a patient is in need of transport to and from their chemotherapy appointments, this free service can be accessed through their oncology nurse. Alternatively, they can call the Volunteer Driver Service team in the Irish Cancer Society on 01 2310 522 for more information.
