Report due on pipe plan

Irish Water is to shortly publish a report on submissions received on its plan to pump water from the Shannon to the Eastern and Midlands region.
Some 500 landowners are affected by the proposal, 128 of them in Tipperary. Irish Water initiated a 14-week public consultation process on the plan, which concluded last February.

Director of Environment Services Sean Keating updated members of Tipperary Co Council on the situation this week. Mr Keating said a workshop would be held for councillors in Thurles on July 22nd.
