Irish summer camp for primary kids in Nenagh

If you are looking for a summer camp with activities to please all kids, whether they are interested in sport, drama, art, music or dance, then read on!

The Cúrsa Samhraidh commences on Monday July 3rd for two weeks, ending on July 14th. This Irish language summer camp will help primary school children improve their fluency in oral Irish and develop a love for the language through our wide variety of activities.

This annual fortnightly summer camp is organised by Emily Uí Chinnéide under the auspices of Conradh na Gaeilge. The team of qualified múinteoirí will give children an opportunity of learning Irish through sport, drama, dance, music, art and much more.

We provide a wide variety of sports which include yard games, basketball, rounders, Gaelic games, soccer and swimming. We also provide opportunities for children to develop their artistic talents through drawing, painting, pottery and modelling. Children will also experience many aspects of music including song singing, African drumming, dance, body percussion and instrument playing. Parents will also have the opportunity to see their children perform on stage in the Gaelscoil during the second week of the Cúrsa.

Each class will stage a drama and sing a medley of songs prepared during the two weeks. Our aim is to help children improve their fluency in oral Irish and to develop a love for the language through a wide variety of activities.

The Summer Camp will be held at Gaelscoil Aonach Urmhumhan, St Conlon’s Road, Nenagh, each weekday from 9.30am to 2.30pm from July 3rd to July 14th .
