Footpath restoration works in Nenagh district

Tipperary Co Council is to spend almost €500,000 on footpath restoration in the Nenagh Municipal District this year.

Footpaths in Nenagh, Newport, Ballina, Cloughjordan, Silvermines, Portroe, Lorrha, Kilcommon, Newtown and Rearcross have been included in the 2017 schedule of municipal district works.

 

They include Ballina – Fernhill estate, Main St, Quarry Lane; Cloughjordan – village, St Kieran's Close; Kilcommon – centre toward Curreeny; Lorrha – main road.

 

In Nenagh, footpath restoration will take place at Ballygraigue, Borrisokane Road, Church Road, Cormack Drive estate, Limerick Road, McDonagh St, Shamrock Court, Tyone, Woodview Close, and Yewston estate. Newport footpaths to be tackled include Ard Mhuire, Black Road, Church Road, Clonbealy, Cork Road, Jail St, and the main road.

 

Portroe will see footpath works on the main street, as will the council housing estate and Toor Road in Rearcross. There will also be footpath restoration works carried out on Silvermines main street, and Old Road, and on the main street of Templederry.
