Daffodil Day in Nenagh and Roscrea

Nenagh Flower and Garden Club are again co-ordinating Daffodil Day on March 24th in Nenagh.

There are few of us who have not experienced cancer either personally or with a family member, friend or work colleague. This is an opportunity to show your solidarity and help to raise funds for research and care of patients with cancer. To offer one hour of your time please ring (067) 31859 or 087-6750303. We would also appreciate fresh daffodils which can be left at any collection point on the day or ring above numbers if you would like them collected.

This year 40,000 people in Ireland will be diagnosed with cancer; that’s 150 people per day. The Irish Cancer Society endeavours to provide reliable cancer information, support, and services to help when you or someone you know is affected by cancer. To get more information call on Call Save 1850 606060.

This year the Roscrea group is looking for our regular volunteers, and anybody else who would be interested in working with us, on March 24th. Anyone available to help can contact Anne Delaney at 0505 21831. Those wishing to contribute fresh daffodils can do so at any of our collection points in Roscrea. Every single euro donated during Daffodil Day makes a difference to people with cancer and their families throughout Ireland.
