Street closure as gas works return to Nenagh

A road closure order is to come into effect on Nenagh's Stafford St this week as work recommences on the town's gas, water and wastewater project.

Tipperary County Council recently granted an order for the closure of Stafford Street for 180m from the Kenyon Street Junction to past the Arrabawn Co-op premises. The period of closure runs from this Wednesday, January 4th, to Friday March 10th inclusive (i.e. 24 hours per day, seven days per week).

Diversion routes will be clearly sign-posted and a specific diversion plan will apply to HGV traffic accessing and egressing Stafford Street lower.

The purpose of this closure is to facilitate the laying of sewers, gas and water mains. Tippeprary Co Council advises that emergency and pedestrian access will be provided at all times. Collections and deliveries will be facilitated.
